The Black Duck Tattoo Company is a tattoo shop on New York's Long Island.
Brief
This build was done for a newly-established bricks and mortar tattoo parlour on New York’s Long Island. The owners of Black Duck were after a site style that blended their traditional business values, as well as aesthetic, with a hint of modern flair.
Challenge
To create an informational site that kept the tattooists work and pricing updated, but that was also easy to maintain on their own.
As per the owners’ request, the portfolio page needed to automatically update from their individual as well as company Instagram accounts.

Final Result
We were able to create a WordPress website that provided the necessary information that the clients wanted to get out to their customers, as well as embed their Instagram accounts to use as a portfolio, since it was a method they were already using and it was easy for them to update on-the-go, thus keeping their site fresh.
We created an Instagram connection that allowed three separate feeds to exist side-by-side on the portfolio, which could be clicked through to using different tabs on the page.
The site is simple in its navigation, making it easy for a range of customers (who vary in age and digital proficiency) to utilise. The front page includes a slideshow that features some of the work the shop does.
